Schedule A Guided Tour
Thank you for your interest in touring the Texas A&M College
of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM). Tour guides
are current veterinary
and biomedical sciences students, known as ambassadors, who are
excited to show you our college.
Tours are designed for teenagers and adults. The tour showcases
both the Veterinary & Biomedical Education Complex (VBEC) and
the clinical areas within the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
(VMTH). For the safety of both our visitors and our patients,
all visitors must be at least 13 years old to participate
in the VMTH portion of the tour and must not touch or pet the
animals. Like patients in a human hospital, these animals
are here because they need medical attention. For families with
children under the age of 13, we are happy to offer an abbreviated
tour of the academic areas of the college and the opportunity to
talk to a current student about veterinary school. We also host an
annual Open House event each spring that
provides tours and interactive activities for all ages.
The tour is not an appropriate field trip for groups of
children younger than high school age. Teachers and others
who would like to arrange an animal-themed presentation for their
younger students should contact our PEER
Tours can be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at
12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. During the
spring 2018 semester, Thursday tours will begin at 10:30 a.m. and
3:30 p.m. All tours generally last about an hour and a
half, although this can vary widely depending on your
group, the number of questions you have, and what is going on in
the hospital during your visit.
If you have any questions about the tours, or if you need help
arranging your visit, please e-mail email@example.com. We hope to
see you soon!
A note about fall tours
Fall tours are now available through Dec 1. Tours will not be
offered on Oct. 6 or Nov. 3, due to college events, and from Nov.
21-25, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The winter holiday schedule
will be available in late November. As always, questions about
scheduling and large group tours can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org. We look
forward to your visit!
