Steps for Registration

  1. Log into the Howdy portal at howdy.tamu.edu using your NetID and password.
  2. In the upper left-hand corner of the page, there are several tabs.  Select the "My Records" tab.
  3. To begin your registration, in the upper left-hand box, select "Add or Drop Classes".
  4. Select the term (semester) in which you would like to register.  This will be denoted by Fall 20xx, Spring 20xx, and Summer 20xx as well as the campus in which you are enrolled (College Station).
  5. The following page displays useful information about your registration, as well as the courses you are presently registered for in the selected term.
  6. Scroll down and press the button labeled "Class Search".  This will bring you to a page in which you can select the four letter abbreviation for the course of your choosing.
  7. Locate the desired course nubmer and press the button labeled "View Sections".
  8. Choose the desired course section by selecting a checkable box on the left-hand side in the column labeled "Select".  When selecting a course section, look at the columns labeled "Capacity", "Actual", and "Remaining" to determine how many seats are left in that section.
  9. Once you have selected a section, scroll to the bottom of the page and press the button labeled "Registration".
  10. Repeat this process for all desired courses.
