Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences proudly presents the third annual Canine Paramedicine Conference. This exciting program is tailored for those that may need to administer help to canine patients as a first responder. Those people that are involved in search and rescue, or law enforcement with canines, EMTs, paramedics, veterinary technicians and veterinarians are all invited to attend. The course will assume some level of knowledge and will then apply that knowledge to canine patients specifically and will focus on search and rescue canines.
The lecture portion will be reinforced with a limited enrollment laboratory that will instruct individuals on some very important life saving procedures. Another portion of the laboratory will be case based scenarios that will be interactive and lead by some of the foremost experts in emergency veterinary medicine.
Dogs play an enormous role in protecting our way of life and in the rescue of people in time of need. We are in a unique area of the world in Texas and need to be prepared for a number of different possibilities. In the field, medical emergencies often occur suddenly, and this course seeks to prepare first responders for such eventualities.
Online registration is now closed. You may register by calling 979.845.9102, or you can register in person Saturday morning at the conference.
