The course is presented by in collaboration with Wildlife Pharmaceuticals, to both local and international veterinarians and biologists. This is an in-depth course on the various aspects of the different chemical preparations used in the wildlife industry. Participants are offered lectures and practical demonstrations on the immobilization of high risk anaesthetic species, such as the rhino and giraffe. Lecturers are all experts in their field and will guide you through practical experiences with both confined and free ranging animals.

Continuing Education participants will be accompanied throughout the course by Dr. Jim Derr, Professor, Veterinary Pathobiology; Dr. Linda Logan, Professor and Department Head, Veterinary Pathobiology; and Dr. Cobus Raath, from and Adjunct Professor, Veterinary Pathbiology.
