Food Animal Conference

Don’t miss this year’s Food Animal Conference which features two internationally-known guest speakers, and experts and leaders from close to home. Dr. Carlos Risco, the new Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University, will be addressing factors that affect reproductive performance in dairy cattle. Coming to us from North Carolina State University is Dr. Geof Smith who will focus on health and disease in neonatal beef calves. Dr. Andy Schwartz, Texas State Veterinarian and Executive Director of the Texas Animal Health Commission will give us an update of the commission’s activities, while Dr. Andres de La Concha, pathologist at TVMDL, will highlight the services provided by laboratory for food animal veterinarians. Finally, Dr. Juan Romano, theriogenologist at the CVMBS, will instruct a laboratory on the latest in breeding soundness examination for bulls.
