VET TECH PugThe 2018 TAMU Veterinary Technician Conference will take place on June 23-24, 2018 in College Station Texas. The conference provides continuing educational opportunities for technicians from all types of practices and at every skill and experience level. Five tracks (general small animal, advanced small animal, equine, beef cattle/exotic and professional development) will run concurrently, providing a varied menu from which to choose. In addition to classroom presentations, we will offer wet lab and interactive programs. Dr. Kimberly Pope- Robinson, a nationally known veterinarian and life coach, will give a special lunchtime keynote address. Don’t miss this exciting conference for veterinary technicians. Additional Information:

Cytology workshop: You will be practicing aspiration collection techniques, assessing diagnostic quality of cytology samples, and microscopic identification of common tumors types. In order to get the most out of the microscopic portion of the lab, you should be comfortable identifying red and white blood cells.

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine utilizes a holistic admissions process; you are much more than a GPA or GRE score! We look at your knowledge of the veterinary profession, personal character, interpersonal skills, motivation, exposure to animal medicine, and other qualities.  This breakfast discussion will provide guidance on pre-requisites (no bachelor’s degree required) and submitting a strong, well-rounded application, with an emphasis on your veterinary technician skills and competencies. There is no charge, but registration in advance is required.
