What will this project cost?

The total budget for both the Small Animal Hospital expansion and the CVM Teaching Facility is $120 million. The $120 million will come from Permanent University Funding (PUF). PUF was created by the Texas Constitution in 1876 as a Sovereign Wealth Fund to fund public higher education within the state. In November of 2011, Chancellor John Sharp confirmed his commitment to the CVM in a letter to President Bowen Loftin stating that the request for Permanent University Funds (PUF) toward the CVM Teaching Facility and Small Animal Hospital expansion was granted!
