Dr. Kenita S. Rogers
Associate Dean for Professional Programs - Board Certified in
Veterinary Internal Medicine and Veterinary Oncology by the
ACVIM
Dr. Kenita S. Rogers is the associate dean for professional
programs at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary
Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. She received a B.S. in animal
and veterinary science from West Virginia University in 1979 and
her D.V.M. from Louisiana State University in 1982. After
completing a one year rotating internship at the University of
Georgia, Rogers spent three years in an internal medicine residency
and received her M.S. from Texas A&M University in 1986. She is
an ACVIM Diplomate in the specialties of Internal Medicine (1987)
and Oncology (1990), and currently serves as Chief of the Medicine
Service. She received the Norden Distinguished Teaching Award, and
has twice been honored with The Association of Former Students
Distinguished Teaching Award.

Dr. Claudia L. Barton
Professor - Board Certified in Veterinary Internal Medicine and
Veterinary Oncology by the ACVIM
Dr. Claudia L. Barton is a professor in the department of small
animal medicine and surgery at the Texas A&M University College
of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. She attended the
University of Missouri for her undergraduate degree and her D.V.M.
After two years of private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, she came
to Texas A&M University in the department of veterinary
pathology to do a clinical pathology residency. She then taught at
the University Of Missouri College Of Veterinary Medicine in the
Veterinary Teaching Hospital for several years, in small animal
oncology/internal medicine, and returned to Texas A&M
University in 1979 as a staff oncologist. She is a Diplomate of the
American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialties
of Oncology and Internal Medicine and currently is the Medicine
Residency Director. She received both College-level and
University-level teaching awards from the Association of Former
Students at Texas A&M University. Barton's major interest and
expertise is in diagnostic cytology of tumors in animals.

Dr. Heather Wilson
Assistant Professor - Board Certified in Veterinary Oncology by
the ACVIM
Dr. Heather Wilson is a professor in the department of small
animal medicine at the Texas A&M University College of
Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. She completed her
undergraduate degree and D.V.M. at the University of Tennessee in
2003. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at the
University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center and a residency
in Medical Oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She is a Diplomate of the American
College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of
Oncology. She received the E. Gregory Mac Ewen award for
Outstanding Basic Science Research in the field of Oncology from
the Veterinary Cancer Society in 2006. Her research and clinical
interests include cancer stem cells, osteosarcoma, and transitional
cell carcinoma.

Clinical Assistant Professor - Board Certified in Radiation
Oncology and MS in Radiation Physics
Dr. Michael Deveau earned his D.V.M. from Kansas State
University in 2005 and his training for board certification in the
field of veterinary radiation oncology from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. He has recently attained Diplomate
status from the American College of Radiology - Radiation Oncology
and is currently a PH.D. graduate student in the discipline of
medical physics. Deveau's interests focus on personalized
patient-based cancer therapy treatment.
