Student Diversity

The College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM) focused on increasing underrepresented minority (URM) student representation in recent years. Our data shows an increase of the underrepresented population in the Professional DVM Program. The program had the largest Hispanic entering class in the nation and we couldn’t be more proud to have these impressive students choose Texas A&M University.

We are closing the URM gap by encouraging and recruiting top ranking URM representative students to our college. Our standards have not lowered, our requirements remain high and our college maintains an ever-improving national ranking.  The CVM is growing stronger (more innovative and cutting edge) by preparing our students to perform in the incredibly diverse industry of veterinary medicine.
