RISE Program

Posted October 16, 2017

The Texas A&M Race, Identity & Social Equity (RISE) Program Committee invites proposals for the inaugural conference that will take place on Friday, February 2nd, 2018. We welcome proposals for panels, individual papers and alternative session formats that allow for audience participation and community engagement. We encourage submissions from undergraduates, graduates, faculty, and staff that would like to present research focused in the RISE areas. The TAMU RISE initiative provides a year-long research opportunity for undergraduate students at Texas A&M, culminating with presentation of the research at the RISE Conference.  The RISE Conference also seeks to provide an opportunity for a campus wide discussion around significant issues of race, identity, and social equity on campus, in the nation, and on a global scale. To learn more about the TAMU RISE initiative please visit our webpage at
