Dr. Kathrin Burke

Kathrin is a 2000 graduate from the University of Veterinary Medicine of Hannover/ Germany. She initially came to the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M University to conduct research as part of a German doctorate program (Dr.med.vet.) in 2001. She later did a residency in Clinical Pathology (also at Texas A&M University) and completed the Board exam of the American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) in 2010. Kathrin completed a Master’s degree at the GI Lab in 2012 and is currently a Research Scientist with the GI Lab. She is interested in quality assurance in the laboratory and has recently joined the Laboratory Standards and Quality Assurance (QALS) committee of the American Society of Veterinary Clinical Pathologists. Kathrin and her husband Adam live in the country with their children Hannah, Taylor, and Emma, their dogs Pixel and Mini, and their cat Tink. Kathrin loves being outdoors, food, music, sports, and traveling.
