Dr. Nora Berghoff
Nora Berghoff graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in
Hanover (Germany) in 2002, and joined the GI Lab in March of 2003
to pursue her Dr.med.vet. degree.
Nora's Dr.med.vet. program research focused on the establishment of
the prevalence of protein-losing enteropathy and further
characterization of this disease in Norwegian Lundehunds, a rare
dog breed in which gastrointestinal disease is common. After
finishing her Dr.med.vet. degree in 2006, Nora enrolled in a PhD
program at Texas A&M, working on mast cell involvement in
canine inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and cobalamin deficiency in
dogs with IBD.
Nora has a special interest in pathology, and would like to pursue
further residency training in pathology once she is finished with
her PhD.
