Dr. Romy Heilmann

Romy graduated in 2005 with her veterinary degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Leipzig, Germany. She subsequently spent some time in small animal general practice, and returned to academia in fall of 2005 in order to work on a postgraduate doctoral degree in veterinary medicine. She received her Dr.med.vet. degree from the Vetsuisse Faculty of Berne University, Switzerland in 2008. After completing an Internship at the Small Animal Veterinary Referral Center TUEZ in Switzerland, Romy started her PhD program at the GI Lab in fall of 2008. Her PhD project involves the development of new markers for chronic enteropathies in dogs.
