Liz's Love Oncology Fund

Posted November 06, 2017

malone_wood_and_mooseThe Liz’s Love Oncology Fund was named after Liz Wood, one of the oncology technicians within the Small Animal Hospital at Texas A&M. An anonymous donor created the fund to honor Liz for her compassion and attentiveness during the treatment of her beloved dog. The donor saw a need within the hospital to help support others whose pets are diagnosed with cancer but who are not able to fully afford their treatment.

The Oncology service within the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital strives to give animals with cancer the most compassionate care possible. No pet owner wants to hear the word “cancer.” Our technicians and veterinarians aim to provide hope amidst the pain of this diagnosis.

Eligibility Requirements

  • The pet must be a patient of the Oncology Service, and treatment must be performed at the Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.
  • The owner must be able to contribute a portion of the total treatment cost.
  • If you believe your pet is eligible for assistance, please inquire with Oncology Service staff prior to making your appointment or during your visit.
