Spring Research Symposium
Date: February 21, 2013
Howdy! We are beginning to organize the Spring Research
Symposium and are looking for volunteers to help us plan the event!
The Symposium will be held on February 21, 2013 in
the Mark Francis room followed by dinner and the keynote address at
Pebble Creek Country Club.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Paul Ewald, Evolutionary
Biologist from the University of Louisville.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is January 25,
2013. Please submit no more than one page, single-spaced,
as a Word document to Nicole Mitchell nmitchell@cvm.tamu.edu.
Please use the following format for your abstract
submission. This can be via email or as a hard copy. If you
received a travel award from the GSA for 2012-2013, you must
present your work at the Symposium. For those who did not apply for
a travel award, this is a great opportunity to interact with your
fellow graduate students and practice your presentation technique.
We will be giving out cash awards for both poster and oral
presentations!
Congratulations to the Award Winners for the 2013
