Scholarly Interests
The molecular basis of virulence of protozoal parasites, including identification of functional antigens for serodiagnosis and immunization. Host-parasite interrelationships, especially the role of the vector (if involved) in promoting infection, and in the prevalence and incidence of infections in areas of low vector populations.
