Research
We are interested in a diverse set of problems in population
genomics and molecular evolution. We develop statistical tests and
computational tools to investigate evolutionary processes shaping
genomic variability within and between species. We apply theories
of adaptive evolution to empirical data in order to search for the
signatures of selection in the genomes of different organisms. We
also study evolutionary innovation, genotype-phenotype mapping,
network properties of disease-associated genes, and the evolution
of gene expression.
