Core Facilities and Labs
The College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences
(CVM) has a number of core facilities and laboratories that provide
faculty and students access to cutting-edge equipment. These core
facilities and labs provide unique and quality services to the
college and university as well as the local, national, and
international community. These facilities give our researchers an
advantage in that they have immediate access to equipment and
facilities necessary to accomplish their biomedical research
endeavors.
Many of the core laboratories provide services to the
researchers within the CVM, the university, and outside
institutions. The DNA Technologies Core Lab, the Image Analysis
Lab, and the Flow Cytometry Lab are just a few of our outstanding
core laboratories found within the CVM. Some of the specific
services offered by these laboratories include DNA genotyping and
sequencing, microscopic and imaging services, and flow cytometric
analyses of samples. The CVM also has an excellent large animal
research facility called Veterinary Medical Park that provides
facilities, pasture, and animal care services to help accomplish
research and teaching goals. To learn more about each of these core
laboratories and facilities, please click on the links below.
