Every year, for more than 50 years, The Association of Former
Students (AFS), Texas A&M University's official alumni
association, recognizes outstanding members of the faculty and
staff with Distinguished Achievement Awards, one of the highest
university honors. The ceremony was hosted this year by Dr. Linda
Logan, professor and department head of Veterinary Pathobiology
(VTPB) on April 28, 2011.
Dr. John F. Edwards, professor in VTBP, was recognized with the
University Level Distinguished Achievement Award for his work in
graduate mentoring. Dr. Pamela Ferro from VTPB and Dr. Panagiotis
Xenoulis from Small Animal Clinical Sciences, were both honored
with the Distinguished Graduate Student Award for their PhD
research.
Also, graduate students Danilo Landrock from VTPB and Rajeshwari
Yog from Veterinary Integrative Biosciences are this year's
recipients of the Distinguished Graduate Student Awards for their
Master's research.
Congratulations to these faculty members and students for their
