Molecular mechanisms driving interactions between Babesia spp. and their hosts; characterization of potential vaccine or drug targets for babesiosis; molecular phylogeny of the hemoparasites; genetic basis of bovine resistance/susceptibility to ectoparasitism; development of molecular diagnostic tests for piroplasms.
