Sayes Nanomaterials, Bioavailable Metals, and Toxicology Lab

Cells under Microscope

The Sayes Laboratory at Texas A&M University is a fully equipped nanomaterial, bioavailable metals, and toxicology characterization lab. The group specializes in understanding the behavior of materials (particles, composites, and films) on the nano and micro-scale and in their ionic forms.

We analyze materials in the dry state, in solution or suspension, and in biological and ecological systems. Our characterization expertise includes complete analyses of morphology and chemical reactivity. Our environmental health and safety expertise includes whole animal, tissue, and cell-based toxicology, mechanistic analyses of toxicity, ecotoxicology, and public policy and regulatory analysis.
