Imaging / Radiology
Imaging Services
Texas A&M University offers a full range of medical
diagnostic imaging for small animals, large animals, and exotic
pets. The field of diagnostic imaging (or 'radiology') centers on
the diagnosis of disease from non-invasive images. Our clinical
services include Small Animal Radiology, Large
Animal Radiology, Small Animal Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI), and Nuclear Medicine. The VMTH is fully
equipped with digital radiography, digital fluoroscopy, and a fully
integrated computerized network (PACS). We perform nearly 10,000
imaging studies per year in the Large and Small Animal Clinics.
Radiology Section
The radiology section at Texas A&M has expanded to a full
complement of five senior faculty radiologists, making it one of
the largest radiology sections in the country. As board certified
specialists of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR),
they can offer the greatest expertise and latest techniques in
diagnostic imaging. Our faculty have years of combined experience,
including an internationally recognized leader in small animal
ultrasound. From radiography and ultrasound to MRI and CT, every
study is evaluated by a radiologist. They work closely with the
other services to tailor each patient's exam for the most accurate
diagnosis possible. Our faculty also help train veterinary
residents, interns and students on the clinic floor and in the
classroom.
Diagnostic Imaging & Cancer Treatment Center (DICTC)

Diagnostic Imaging and Cancer Treatment Center at Texas A&M
is a state of the art facility with diagnostic and treatment
capabilities never before possible in one location. The facility is
fully equipped with a Tomotherapy Unit, a CT Scanner, and a 3 Tesla
