Bronchoscopy
Airway examinations are often performed on patients with
coughing or breathing difficulties. Patients are placed under
anesthesia to permit the introduction of a small flexible endoscope
called a bronchoscope. Through this device, we can see the trachea
and the bronchi, and collect samples for examination and
culture.
