Esophagosocopy / Gastroscopy / Duodenoscopy
Endocoscopic examination of the upper digestive tract includes
an evaluation of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. These
procedures are commonly performed in dogs with difficulty
swallowing, chronic vomiting or persistent diarrhea. We are able to
visualise the lining of the tract and collect biopsy samples
without the need for invasive surgery.
Sometimes, we use an endoscope to remove foreign objects, such
as pennies, from the stomach.
