Kenny was one of Mrs. Stevenson's cats. He came to the center in
2000 but had a heart defect that cut his life short. His sister,
Sophia, looks just like him. He was a beautiful boy.
Beau was rescued by Mrs. Stevenson's niece, Mattie, from a
drainage ditch in Houston. He was named Beau because his
intelligence and pride was a thing of beauty.

Maverick was quite old and debilitated when he came to the
center. Unfortunately, his time with us was too brief. He was a
beautiful Malamute whose owners adored him. We are all sorry that
Bubba Dog was one of our senior citizens. He was over fifteen
years old when he left us. Many of his senses had deteriorated with
his age, but he was still very much a part of our little commun...
Wei-Linn was the first bird to reside at the center. She was a
black moustached parakeet with beautifully colored feathers. Her
favorite activity was watching birds outside her window.
Jill was one of the original pets to enter the center in 1994.
Her owner left her entire estate to the College of Veterinary
Medicine for Jill's care and to support the Stevenson Center. Jill
Yummy came to the center in 1998 along with Lovey, Jessica, and
Wei-Linn. He and Lovey were best buddies. Yummy enjoyed sleeping
and spending the majority of his day in the bed. Breakfast and
Cindy came to the center in September of 2000. She was a
beautiful dog with soft, flowing black hair. Cindy was well
received by all of the other dogs and cats. This was a sweet dog

Blackie was one of Mrs. Madlin Stevenson's beloved dogs. She
entered the center in September of 2000. Blackie never had any
problems with the other dogs or cats at the center. She was loved
Sadie was another of Madlin Stevenson's cats. She was about 10
years old and beautiful. This was a very predictable cat who kept
to herself and was quite content. We will all miss seeing her
Mr. Jones was 14 years old and had lived at the center since
1996. Jones came from the Austin area. He was very sweet but
bashful. His days were mostly spent reclining in the sunroom. The
Lovey was a 14 year old Chinese Pug from San Antonio. She came
to the center in 1998 along with Yummy, Jessica, and Wei-Linn.
Lovey was a sweet girl who loved everyone she met. Her days were
Bubba was a 14 year old Siamese-cross who came to the center
from the Kingwood area in 1997 along with Priscilla, Al, and Annie.
Bubba was the "official greeter cat" and enjoyed assisting our

was brief as he was diagnosed with a blood disease after a fatal
attack. We will miss this lovable big boy.
