The semester is winding down, and through the hallways at the
TAMU Vet School there is excitement, apprehension, and especially
thankfulness. It is Thanksgiving week, and we are all geared
up for a few days of no class, and some time to rest our
brains. This time of year we all want to remember that we are
lucky. We students are healthy, intelligent people with
budding careers in front of us, and we are receiving a top quality
education! As students we can't ask for more than that. We
are lucky to be studying at Texas A&M. There is a spirit of
family that cannot be replicated elsewhere. We are there for each
other, no matter what happens. With the fast
approaching week of finals it is even more important for us to
remember that we are lucky to be here. It is easy this time
of year to search for sympathy because of our exam schedule and the
difficulty of our courses, but what I would like to remind everyone
is we fought for this! We have all wanted this for years, and
now we are here, and I am thankful everyday for this
opportunity. So as the Thanksgiving Holiday allows us a few
days of rest, I ask that we all remember that we are lucky, and we
should be thankful for the chances we have been blessed with.
Remember to be thankful for everything in our lives we are blessed
with: for family, friends, education, freedom, food, for all the
things that we take for granted every day. The attitude with
which you live your life, affects how your life turns out, so be
thankful and choose Happiness! I wish everyone a blessed and
safe Holiday, remember the important things and remember to count
your blessings. Happy Holidays to all!
