The end of the year is finally here! I’m so close to being able
to breathe a sigh of relief. However, I know my summer won’t be
able to truly start until I find out what my final grades
are. This semester definitely taught me that I need to learn
to not only prioritize better, but also to be able to ignore the
plethora of distractions that are everywhere in College Station. In
preparation for the upcoming fall semester, I will learn how to
better manage my time. I mean, I kind of have to with the
MCAT looming over my head.
I am proud to at least announce that my summer will not be
stocked solely with summer classes! I was recently admitted to the
University of Texas Medical Branch’s Medical School Matriculation
Program (MSMP). I urge anyone who may be reading this to apply for
next year. It looks like it will be a life changing opportunity for
me, and I am ecstatic to see what I will learn.
In addition, I was recently named president of the Minority
Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS) here at Texas A&M!
In between receiving my Aggie ring, my 21st birthday, MSMP, finals,
and now MAPS, the end of the spring 2014 semester has certainly
been a whirlwind.
Here’s to future successes!
