Alex is a senior Biomedical Sciences undergraduate
student. She would like to pursue a career as a
veterinarian. Alex fosters needy animals from the Brazos
Animal Shelter and when she is not studying you can find her
reading, dancing, and baking.
"I knew I wanted to become a veterinarian when I visited my
mother's family ranches as a young girl. Being around all of
those animals made me happy, and I knew being able to care for them
would provide a fulfilling career for me."
Alex's school survival tip is: "Break assignments up into
manageable tasks. When an assignment seems too overwhelming, it
becomes too difficult to start and it becomes very easy to
procrastinate. Once the assignment is broken up, develop a
timeline so that you stay on track."
