Erin HongOne of the loudest and proudest members of the Class of 2019, Erin is a biomedical sciences major and first-generation Aggie. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she came to the United States when she was 5 years old and grew up taking care of a variety of animals, from dogs and fish to small rodents and reptiles. While being surrounded by many pets played a significant part in the development of her passion, Erin’s experiences as a child helping strays and visiting her first veterinary clinic were also some of the many reasons why she wants to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Currently, she plans on becoming a small companion animal veterinarian, but is exploring other routes by working with large animals through volunteering and internships, such as at the horse barn where she shadows. During her down time, Erin enjoys grabbing a meal and hanging out with friends in College Station. Back home in McKinney, she loves to cook, bake, spend time with parents, and catch up with her best friends.
