Graphic Design
We offer a variety of graphic design services right here in the
basement of the VMA building. Graphic design labor is billed at $25
an hour. Most items can be printed in house, just ask the reception
staff about our duplication pricing. We also work with print
vendors in the local area and can see your job through from just an
idea to the final product!

Posters
We provide layout and design services for posters, as well as
just printing your pre-designed posters. Pricing for poster
printing is $4.25 per square foot.
If you would like for us to design your poster, please provide
the following:
- text and appropriate headings for the sections of the poster in
a Word document
- images as high-resolution JPG or TIF files
- graphs as high-solution JPG or TIF files, vector artwork (Adobe
Illustrator preferred) or in Word, PowerPoint or Excel
- tables in a Word document
- dimensions that the final printed poster should be
- whether you would like a tube for your poster
Depending on work schedules posters require a 3 to 5 day turn
around for completion. Proofs will be provided either
electronically or as a hard copy and must be approved before the
poster is printed.
If you design your poster yourself in PowerPoint, it is helpful
to us if you provide a PDF or hard copy of how it should look,
along with the final dimensions that it should be when printed. We
will print you a proof that must be approved before your poster
will be printed. Sometimes, text will drop out and images may
become distorted when a PowerPoint file is transferred from one
computer to another. Please look closely at your proof for such
issues. If we need to do work on your poster to make it print on
our poster printer, beyond printing your proof, you will be charged
for design labor at the regular hourly rate.
