Faculty Position in Comparative Neuroscience-Muscular Dystrophy

The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a tenure- or research-track faculty position in the area of comparative neuroscience, with a focus on muscular dystrophy, at the Assistant to Full Professor level. This faculty position is intended to complement an ongoing research program led by Dr. Joe Kornegay that focuses on a canine model of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The successful candidate must have a doctoral degree and relevant post-doctoral experience, and will be expected to develop and sustain a vigorous extramurally funded research program, train graduate students, and teach within the Biomedical Sciences program. Individuals with experience in assessing phenotypic variables and underlying genetic modifiers in large animal models, especially dogs, are encouraged to apply. Salary and start-up packages will be competitive and commensurate with level of accomplishment.
