Locum Position in Radiology

The Department of Veterinary Large Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Texas A&M University invites applications for locum positions in diagnostic imaging.  We have openings during the months of September 2016 – July 2017 (1-week minimum).  Candidates must have a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.   Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Texas, either regular or special license.

The locum radiologist will be expected to provide diagnostic imaging services and contribute to instruction of interns, residents, and students. The locum radiologist may be assigned to small animal ultrasound, small animal radiology (which includes radiology, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine) or large animal radiology (which includes radiology, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine).  The clinical assignment to the different imaging services will be based on clinical needs and professional interest and expertise of the locum radiologist.  Our state of the art on-site Diagnostic Imaging and Cancer Treatment Center houses a 3 tesla MRI system and 40-slice CT scanner in a facility designed to accommodate both small animals and horses.

Job Description

The position is for a minimum duration of 1 week (5 business days) during the months of September 2016 – July 2017.  The locum radiologist must have a DVM/VMD or equivalent degree and be board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging.  The candidate must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas, licensed prior to employment.
