The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, College of
Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M
University invites applications for 3-year (renewable annually)
clinical-track faculty position in Equine Internal Medicine. The
Equine Internal Medicine Service consists of a team-oriented group
of internists who provide scheduled and emergency on-house internal
medicine patient care ranging from primary to tertiary for both
referred and non-referred clients. The successful candidate will be
expected to teach 4th year veterinary students, interns and
residents during clinical rotations. Presentation of didactic
lectures in equine courses within the professional curriculum will
be expected as well. Further, the successful candidate will be
encouraged to participate in collaborative research. A DVM or
equivalent is required. Completion (or expected completion by July
2013) of a residency in an ACVIM-approved residency in large animal
internal medicine is required. If the successful candidate has not
yet achieved board certification in large animal internal medicine
of ACVIM, he/she will be expected to complete board certification
within a reasonable time following employment. Successful licensure
(special or regular) by the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical
Examiners is required. Salary is commensurate with experience and
