Message from the Director

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at Texas A&M University is a very special place where dedicated faculty, staff and students focus their exceptional skills and talents on the treatment of sick and injured animals.

The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital [VMTH] is the largest single component of the College of Veterinary Medicine. The VMTH consists of a Large Animal Hospital, a Small Animal Hospital, a dedicated Zoological and Wildlife Medicine facility, an array of high tech equipment and a 100-member faculty of specialists and subspecialists in a wide range of veterinary medical disciplines.

The VMTH has its multiple missions and serves multiple constituencies. Our primary mission is to provide a venue in which our faculty can provide an exemplary education for our veterinary medical students. Closely associated with educating our veterinary students is our commitment to provide state-of-the art veterinary medical care for the animals brought to our Hospital. We serve as a consultation and referral source for our veterinary colleagues in private practice and a resource for developing new diagnostic tests and treatment programs.

We welcome referrals from veterinarians in private practice so that together we might jointly serve our patients and their owners.

We are proud of the quality and diversity of the programs offered by the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and the faculty, staff and students who make them possible.

We look forward to the opportunity to be of service to you.

Sincerely,

W. Terry Stiles
Director,
