Assistant or Associate Professor (Tenure-Track)

The Department of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology, College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites high caliber applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a strong extramurally funded research program, commit to the philosophy of shared governance by demonstrated service to the Department, College and University and contribute significantly to the teaching of undergraduate/graduate and/or professional courses in physiology or related disciplines. Either a Ph.D., a D.V.M. or a M.D. and a research focus in the field of biomedical sciences is required.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates with research interests similar to those of our faculty, which include: toxicology, neuroscience, reproductive biology, cardiovascular sciences, regenerative medicine, osteogenesis, cell biology, pharmacology, developmental biology and epigenetics. Preference will be given to vibrant, energetic candidates who can integrate multiple research interests with their own. Many opportunities for intra-and inter-departmental collaboration are available and highly encouraged.
