Physiology Faculty Position II-Undergraduate Programs
The Department of Veterinary Physiology and
Pharmacology, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical

Texas A&M University invites applications for a 12-month, fully
budgeted, clinical-track or tenure-track position at all academic
ranks (Assistant, Associate, and Professor), depending on
experience and qualifications. The candidate must have a strong
interest in teaching physiology; preference will be given to those
with recognized expertise in teaching. A Ph.D. in an area of
biomedical sciences is required and a professional (DVM, MD, etc.)
degree or equivalent is preferred.
The successful applicant will be expected to devote
a significant portion of their effort to teaching physiology in the
undergraduate programs. The successful applicant will participate
in interdisciplinary research and if in the tenure track will be
expected to establish a sustainable, extramurally funded research
program. Preference will be given to individuals with research
interests in one of the areas of strength of the department, which
include cardiovascular physiology, reproductive physiology,
toxicology, and education, or in a related area.
Intra/inter-departmental collaboration is expected and
encouraged.
The college serves approximately 2000 students in a
dynamic undergraduate program in Biomedical Sciences, 200 graduate
students, and 500 students in the DVM professional degree program.
Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students participate in
traditional physiology courses with laboratories. Development of
additional elective courses in various topics in physiology at the
undergraduate and graduate levels is encouraged.
