Finding Balance In Vet School
Priya, a second-year veterinary student and VMBS ambassador, believes that the saying “Once you start vet school, you won’t have time for anything else,” is simply not true.
As a second-year veterinary student, she prioritizes her faith, relationships and time management. Her involvement in a local church provides perspective and reminds her that becoming a veterinarian is part of her calling, not her entire identity.
She also makes time for hobbies, rest and friendships outside of school. Planning ahead allows her to balance studying with meaningful moments, including cheering on the Aggies at Kyle Field.
Priya encourages students to pursue excellence while also living with purpose and balance. Veterinary school requires focus, but it should not come at the cost of a full and meaningful life.
