Alyssa H. Headshot

Alyssa is a member of the veterinary class of 2026. She graduated with her B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences in 2015 from Texas A&M University and her M.S. in Education in 2019 from Johns Hopkins University. She previously worked as a Zookeeper at the Houston Zoo before transitioning to teaching middle school science and serving as an academic advisor in preparation for veterinary school.

After graduation, she hopes to practice either conservation medicine or specialize in animal behavior before eventually returning to academia.

In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading and participating in group exercise classes. She also can be found watching movies or going on walks with her husband and sassy chow-chow, Murphy.
