Natalie
Natalie is an animal science major in the class of 2027. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, and developed an interest in veterinary medicine through her many childhood pets, including dogs, ferrets, a rabbit, a prairie dog, and even a praying mantis. She’s a bit conflicted on what specific area of veterinary medicine she’d like to eventually enter, but small animals and exotics have always had her heart.
She has extensive experience with cats and dogs from her work at a small animal hospital throughout high school. Since beginning at Texas A&M, she has branched out into large animals, including volunteering with the horses at the Polo Club and attending unique training on the husbandry and veterinary care of dairy cattle. Her research focuses on evaluating endangered species, and she will also travel to Costa Rica this summer to practice shelter medicine. She is also an active and distinguished Texas A&M Pre-Vet Society member.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, drawing and painting, and working out with CHAARG (Changing Health Attitudes + Actions to Recreate Girls). Her spunky great-dane, Frankie, is the absolute highlight of her day.
