Trista

Trista is a member of the veterinary class of 2029. She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from McMurry University, where she was also a collegiate athlete on the university’s softball team.

Trista has aspired to become a veterinarian since fifth grade and has continued to pursue this passion through involvement in her local FFA chapter and by shadowing at both small animal and mixed animal practices during her undergraduate studies. She has been a consistent volunteer at various animal shelters, including her local SPCA and non-profit organizations where she advocated for shelter dogs, assisted with adoptions, and supported shelter medicine efforts.

She is particularly interested in pursuing a career in mixed animal practice but remains open and excited to explore the many diverse fields within veterinary medicine.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Trista has a strong passion for mission work. She has participated in mission trips to Honduras, where she helped build homes, and to Puerto Rico, where she assisted with community projects and renovations. Trista also enjoys attending church, spending time outdoors, staying active through sports, and connecting with friends and family.
