I am a veterinary pathologist and researcher with over 20 years of experience working with infectious diseases with a strong emphasis on brucellosis. My research interests focus on the development of improved vaccines and diagnostic tests that could be used under resource-limited settings. I have a strong interest in zoonotic and transboundary infectious diseases that is supported by continued and on-going international \u201cGlobal One Health\u201d capacity building and research collaborations in multiple regions around the globe including South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East. My programs are funded by multiple federal agencies including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), NIH Fogarty International, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).<\/p>\n
