Explanation of Catalogs
In accordance with Student Rule 14: A student is expected to complete the baccalaureate degree course and hour requirements as outlined in the catalog in effect at the time he or she first enrolls at Texas A&M.
Your assigned catalog is determined by the academic year in which you begin your studies at Texas A&M. Catalog years typically span two calendar years (e.g., 2025–2026) to reflect the academic cycle beginning in the fall and concluding in the summer. Please note: Your catalog assignment is fixed and cannot be changed.
Finding Your Degree Evaluation
Regardless of any curricular changes, you can always view the specific requirements for your degree through the Howdy portal. Follow the steps below:
- Log in to the Howdy portal
- Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for “Degree Evaluation,” then select the corresponding option.
- On the Degree Evaluation page, you will be able to view your Major and Catalog Term.
- Click on “Generate Request” to retrieve the full list of requirements for your specific degree plan.
- This evaluation will display all required courses, acceptable course alternatives, and any minimum grade requirements for each component of your degree. For additional context on individual courses, you may consult the University Catalog using the links provided below.
If any curricular updates affect your program, they will be reflected here. Notifications regarding such changes will be sent to impacted students.
