Update: 2020 Veterinary Technicians Conference is Cancelled
Due to Caution Over COVID-19
We hope that you are safe and well. On Friday, March 20, the University decided to close the campus to visitors through May 31 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Therefore, the 2020 TAMU Veterinary Technicians Conference will not be held as scheduled. We are not certain yet if we will try to reschedule the meeting for later this year or cancel it until next year. While this is not a surprise, it is profoundly disappointing to us. We apologize for having to cancel the conference, but we are confident that you understand that this action was necessary for the individual and the common good of our community. At this time, we are still hopeful that we can welcome you to the 2020 Annual Veterinary Conference in July. Because this unprecedented situation is changing daily, our office remains watchful and sensitive to everyone’s concerns. We will comply with national, state and local governmental policies and recommendations, as well as those of Texas A&M University, in order to protect the health of all of our constituents. We will post on our website, as well as notify individually, all registrants if our plans change. For those of you who have already registered, and those of you who will register in the future, please know that if the conference is canceled or postponed, we will offer a 100% refund of your registration fees. We want to assure you that you take no risk by registering now. We will continue to monitor the latest information available from global public health authorities and will provide updates in a timely manner. Be safe!
NOTE: the TVBME has issued a statement concerning CE requirements for re-licensure and the Covid 19 situation. Please consult their website https://www.veterinary.texas.gov/ for details.
