February 2013

  • Congrats Rachel Curtis on being awarded travel funding from CVM International Programs office to support upcoming summer training in Ecuador!  We look forward to all the new knowledge and skills you'll gain in the area of Chagas disease!
  • Congrats Lisa Auckland and Frida Cano on completing the Ehrlichia muris dataset leading to submission of an abstract on the research for a conference this summer!
  • The Hamer Lab enjoyed a visit by Jennifer Sidge, DVM/MS student from Michigan State University. Jen completed a veterinary externship training with us in Texas.  Highlights from Jen's trip included joining Rachel in the field for her first Chagas disease sampling trip, and joining Miranda, Tyler, Andrew, and Matthew in the field for crane fecal collections!
