New conservation medicine publication in support of the surrogate species approach for disease studies of endangered species. Open access in Parasitology.  Congrats, miranda! Haemosporida prevalence and diversity are similar in endangered wild whooping cranes (Grus americana) and sympatric sandhill cranes (Grus canadensis).
