Dee began her career at Texas A&M University in 2009 in the Office of Graduate & Professional Studies (OGAPS) where she supported graduate students by processing documents relating to university-level requirements associated graduate degrees. In that role, she developed a passion for helping students navigate the logistical pieces of their graduate educational experience. This led her to join the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 2015 as a graduate academic advisor.

Today, Dee heads our advising team supporting the VMBS graduate students, who are very close to her heart. She helps these students meet programmatic and university milestones and deadlines, assists with class registration, and connects them with college and university resources. She brings her extensive knowledge of OGAPS processes and requirements to her role and guides our graduate students and their faculty mentors through the logistics of university requirements and milestones.

Dee is a mother to a herd of boys, as well as a grandmother. In the evenings and on weekends, you are likely to find her wearing a sparkly shirt and cheering for her son, AJ, during high school football and track. She is also a proud mother to her tiniest babies, Chazie – a rescued Chinese Crested Chihuahua mix and Bella, a Chiweenie. Dee enjoys going on trail rides, cooking exquisite meals, or just spending time working on her home and property with her many chickens and horses.
