Biography
A proud Athenian polyglot, Eleni relocated to College Station with her family following a decade in Brussels, Belgium, and instantly fell in love with Texas.
She graduated from the University of Athens with a BA in Communication Science and an MA in International Relations. She also studied international comparative social and public policy and economics and holds an MSc degree from the internationally recognized Department of Social Policy at the prestigious London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Before her Texas A&M University career, Eleni worked as Head of the Gender Statistics Department in the Hellenic Ministry of Interior’s Research Centre for Equality and as Program Manager of the Agricultural University of Athens’ Traineeship Office. She also gained extensive expertise working for various European institutions and public sector agencies as a communication and policy consultant.
Eleni manages the Veterinary Medical Scientist Research Training Program (VMSRTP), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) T32 Comparative Biomedical Research Training Program (CBRT), and the Clinical Research Review Committee (CRRC). She is dedicated to improving the graduate and postdoctoral student research experience and is committed to supporting the CRRC in achieving its mission and goals.
