Kathie is a native of College Station and graduate of A&M Consolidated High School, as well as a graduate of Texas A&M University (class of 1987) with a BS in Agriculture. Kathie began working in the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in 1996 in the Office of Research & Graduate Studies.

Today, Kathie is part of an advising team that supports the school’s graduate student population, as well as the Program Coordinator for Assessment and Student Success Initiatives. Kathie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role and adds years of experience in advising the VMBS PhD and MS Thesis students. She helps students and faculty to navigate the logistics of university and programmatic requirements and milestones, and connects them with relevant resources at the college and university.

Kathie is married with four children, one rambunctious grandson, Gabe and a new granddaughter, Kenzie! She enjoys spending time with her grandkids, reading, crafting, gardening, and sports.
