Blackstone LaunchPad Moves Into CVM

Blackstone LaunchPad

The Texas A&M McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship’s Blackstone LaunchPad has set up its mobile office in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVM).

The kiosk will be open from noon to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday until the end of the semester. It is located in the VENI Building next to the dining room.

During those hours, CVM students, faculty, and staff can stop by and speak to a trained student venture consultant about getting involved in entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University.

The Blackstone LaunchPad is designed to help Aggies take steps toward launching a business, learning new entrepreneurial skills, or even judging competitions, according to Sophia Mora Bishop, program coordinator for the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship.

“Our goal is to be the megaphone for entrepreneurship on campus, to every class level, college, and major,” she said. “The Blackstone LaunchPad mobile office brings entrepreneurship opportunities wherever it goes at Texas A&M.

“We are especially excited to be at the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences because of the opportunity to reach students, faculty, staff, and former students who are hard working, eager to get started in their careers, and interested in how to change the world for the better.”

The mobile office has made stops around different colleges on campus to allow student venture consultants to be available to all students.
