New Program Manager, Maria Macik

Maria Macik, the newest member of the Professional Programs Office, will be taking on the role of program manager. Macik has a strong passion for education and expertise in various areas, such as faculty development, student learning, reflection, and curriculum redesign.

Macik received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology in 2009 and her master’s degree in educational psychology in 2011. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Educational Psychology. Her dissertation research focuses on creative approaches to curriculum redesign. Her research interests include curriculum redesign, creativity, and the impact of reflection on transformational learning.

As the program manager, Macik will oversee registration efforts for the DVM program, advise students, support recruitment efforts, and continue her work in the CVM’s curriculum redesign initiative.
